  6. Please remove the previous posting of Edit II.  I mistakenly sent in the
  7. 2.1b3 beta release instead of the 2.02 stable release.  The documentation
  8. file is OK but the application is the beta version.

  11. Edit II is intended as a replacement for the Consulair Edit text editor but
  12. which alllows the use of the cursor keys on the Mac keyboard for
  13. navigation.
  14. If the extended keyboard is used, then the num lock LED will indicate
  15. whether
  16. the cursor pad or the numeric pad mode is on.  The home, end, page up, page
  17. down keys will also work, as will the delete right key.  One level of undo
  18. is supported.  You can launch Edit II by double clicking old Edit files
  19. (since Edit II uses the same creator signature as Edit, that is, EDIT).
  20. Stationery documents are supported under System 7.

  25. * Global settings (default font, size, creator; linefeed stripping; other
  26. miscellaneous settings) now accessible from Preferences command in Options
  27. menu.
  28. * Cursor jumping with the '-' key is now an optional feature (from the
  29. Preferences dialog).
  30. * Y/N/C can be used instead of clicking on the Yes/No/Cancel buttons.
  31. Command-period works for cancel in all dialogs (I tested most of them!).
  32. All dialogs now feature highlighted default buttons.
  33. * Stationery-aware for all you System 7 people.  Stationery documents store
  34. text and settings and will open as Untitled.  Rebuild desktop to see new
  35. stationery icon (or use SaveABndl like I do).
  36. *** Bugs fixed ***
  37. * Double-clicking on a file too large to fit in memory now lets you know
  38. of the problem.
  39. * Balancing parentheses/braces/brackets in a large file now works (used
  40. an int for a long).
  41. * Menu hiliting has been streamlined.
  42. * Inadvertant switching when toggling num lock on or off under
  43. Apollo/PwrSwitcher has been fixed (put an extra delay in between ADB
  44. calls).
